Course Selection starts on Monday, March 3rd, 2025


If you require a course change, please email your counselor, giving the details of your request. Only NEW students to our community will be offered an appointment to schedule their timetable; all other VSS students in Grade 8-12 will be required to email their request to their counselor.

It is important that you view the VSS Master Timetable before submitting your request to your counselor to see what is possible.

Please be reminded that MANY of our courses/classes are full and therefore counselors cannot guarantee your request will be accommodated.

Counselors will begin assisting students on August 29th. Requests will be dealt with in the order in which they are received. As our counselors will be dealing with numerous requests, they will answer emails as quickly as possible; however, it may take a few days for a reply, so we thank you in advance for your patience.

 

To ensure transparency and foster open communication, emails/requests for schedule changes MUST include both the student and parent/guardian emails. It is a shared responsibility of the parent/student to ensure they have the necessary courses for graduation as well as for Post-Secondary.

Students are asked NOT to line up on the first day of school to request course changes. All changes are to be completed by Friday, September 12th at 3:00pm

Students and their families will receive a welcome back Newsletter in August.  This newsletter will provide important information for new students as well as information regarding September Start up procedures.
